There is nothing more exciting than a new purchase, especially for us dress-lovers, a new dress. I am really trying to make a concerted effort to not only look at my favourites brands but also preloved websites and instagram accounts that sell vintage and second hand pieces. The future of fashion is circularity, not only buying preloved but also selling your own on to a new home so I hope the below provides a good starting point to use when you are next looking for something ‘new’.

Pansy Garden (image above) Beth’s immaculate curation of vintage pieces are every Laura Ashley obsessed girl’s dream. I highly recommend signing up to her newsletters to be the first to know about Pansy Garden drops.

Second Stories Nicci has an eye for finding a treasure, especially a great dress and her tight edit of preloved is definitely one to keep an eye on.

The Cirkel are one of the best in my opinion as they shoot each preloved item on a model, which means you can really see how it will look. Their dress edit is full of treasures and where I discovered my leopard Ganni style at a fraction of its original price.

HEWI (Hardly Ever Worn It) great if you’re looking for something special from more luxury brands such as Zimmerman, La Double J and Gabriela Hearst.

Retold is so beautifully presented that it doesn’t feel like you are buying anything second hand. If your style is more quiet luxury than prairie girl, this platform is for you.

The Second Row has exciting edits from style crushes you might follow on instagram from Erica Davies to Caroline Cook so really something for everyone.

Gigi Vintage has been where I’ve found some of my favourites that I have in my wardrobe, Megan and I share a love for a particular Laura Ashley style that I currently own 3 versions of!

Matisa Market is curated by Philippa who has a keen eye for a great one-off piece, whether it’s a small brand like Justine Tabak or a coveted dress from Sezane.

Laura Von Behr (image below) is the queen of vintage and has supplied all my Pop Ups with an impeccable selection of vintage prairie dresses that always sell out. You can see Laura’s stock online, on her grid and visit her in person at her London studio.

As always instagram is a great place to discover preloved sellers, from @the.curatory to @cordialvintage it is worth spending a bit of time researching options as you will discover which platform suits your style and the ones you find easiest to shop from.
