The June Dress

The June Dress

When Nicci from Second Stories launched her first collection of made to order pieces, I immediately suggested that we work on an exclusive dress together for the DDE. I have always loved her commitment to slow fashion and with each dress being hand made in Ukraine by skilled artisans, I am thrilled to champion what she does.

We chose this wonderful cobalt blue with white embroidery as it reminded us of hot summer days. It looks great worn loose for ease and then use the matching belt to cinch in the waist. The detailing and fit on this dress is incredible and testament to Nicci’s eye for detail. As always, I hope the below styling inspires you and keep an eye on the DDE grid for the reel on Sunday.

Summer Evening

I love the idea of wearing this dress for warm summer evenings, either at home or on holiday. Just add layers of metallics to create a more glamorous look, I am and always will be a gold girl. Obsessed by that new bracelet by YSSO x Anna Bromilow!

Dress: SECOND STORIES, £295
Shoes: Jigsaw, £84
Bracelet: YSSO, £440
Earrings: YSSO, £290
Bag: Arms of Eve, £76

Holiday Chic

This is more of a daytime holiday vibe, off to the beach or maybe even a city break. Adding soft pinks to this beautiful cobalt blue really makes the colours sing and stop it all being too matchy matchy (always my problem!)

Dress: SECOND STORIES, £295
Bag: Aaks, £240
Shoes: Penelope Chilvers, £129
Sunglasses: Le Specs, £65
Earrings: Annie Lu, £60

City Styling

I would absolutely wear this dress in the city by adding smart white accessories. The linen is such a beautiful quality, lightweight enough for a warm day but will also give you enough warmth for an English summer.

Dress: SECOND STORIES, £295
Hat: Aspiga, £45
Shoes: Bimba Y Lola, £146
Bag: ARKET, £87
Sunglasses: COS, £75
